Open Motion Detection Settings

Open the GALAYOU G7 Wi-Fi camera in the companion app, then go to its available settings and locate the Motion Detection options. Review the current detection area and sensitivity before relying on motion recordings.

[step] 1. Open the saved GALAYOU G7 Wi-Fi camera in the companion app. 2. Open the available camera settings. 3. Select the Motion Detection options. 4. Review the Detection Area setting. 5. Choose a suitable Sensitivity Level. 6. Check the Alert page later to view generated alarm videos. [/step]

Choose a Detection Area

The Detection Area setting lets you decide where the camera should look for movement. Use the full-area option when motion across the whole camera view is important. Use a selected area when only one part of the view needs attention.

  • Full Area: Motion detection covers the complete camera view.
  • Specific Area: Motion detection focuses on a selected part of the camera view.

[tip] A specific detection area can help keep attention on the part of the view that matters most to you. [/tip]

Adjust Sensitivity

Use the Sensitivity Level setting to match the level of motion activity in the camera area. Review the setting from time to time if the view changes, such as when the camera is moved or the monitored area becomes busier.

[dosdonts] Do: Use Full Area when movement anywhere in the camera view is relevant. Do: Use a specific area when you want to focus on one section of the view. Do: Review the Sensitivity Level after changing the camera position. Dont: Assume every part of the view needs the same detection coverage. Dont: Forget to check the Alert page after motion activity is expected. [/dosdonts]

Review Recorded Alerts

When the camera creates an alarm video, open the Alert page in the companion app to review it. This helps you confirm whether the selected area and sensitivity are suitable for the location being monitored.

Motion recording behavior depends on the selected Detection Area and Sensitivity Level.
