Phone Alerts
Phone alerts are the visible or audible notifications sent by Wansview Cloud. Depending on the enabled options, they may relate to motion activity, sound activity, human or AI detection, and camera online or offline status.
Event Timeline
The app can still keep event records even when phone alerts are turned off. Check the camera's Alerts, Alarm, Events, or Message Center area to review saved activity later.
[tip] For a quieter phone, keep event recording enabled and turn off only the push alerts you do not need. [/tip]Before You Adjust Alerts

Phone Notification Settings
Allow notifications for Wansview Cloud in your phone settings before relying on app-level alert options.
[step] 1. Open your phone Settings. 2. Go to Apps and select Wansview Cloud. 3. Open Notifications and allow notifications for the app. 4. Review individual notification channels, if your phone provides them. 5. Choose which alerts can make sound, vibrate, show a pop-up, or remain silent. [/step]Choose What Reaches You
- Motion alerts can notify you when the selected detection trigger is active.
- Device-status alerts can notify you when the camera goes online or offline, if enabled.
- System messages may contain general app notices.
Turn off only the channels you do not need. For example, you may keep device-status alerts while reducing motion alerts in a busy area.
Lock Screen and Privacy
Use the phone notification settings to decide whether alerts appear on the lock screen. When notification previews include a snapshot or activity detail, choose hidden sensitive content when more privacy is needed.
Wansview Cloud Alert Settings
After phone permissions are allowed, review the alert settings inside Wansview Cloud. The exact labels may differ, but the flow is usually similar.
Global App Alerts
- Open a section such as Me, Profile, Account, Settings, or Notification Settings.
- Enable push notifications or alarm notifications for general camera alerts.
- Enable device message notifications when you want online or offline status updates.
Per-Camera Alerts
[step] 1. Open the live view for the GALAYOU G7 Wi-Fi. 2. Select the camera settings icon. 3. Find an area labeled Alarm, Detection, or Notification. 4. Enable the detection types you want to use. 5. Review the setting for each camera when you manage more than one device. [/step]- Motion detection can provide activity alerts.
- Sound detection may be available on supported configurations.
- Human or AI detection may be available only on supported models or plans.
Make Motion Alerts More Useful
Adjust detection before turning alerts off completely. A focused setup can reduce repeated alerts while keeping meaningful activity visible.
[compare] High Sensitivity | More alerts and greater chance of detecting smaller movement, but shadows, headlights, rain, or insects may also trigger activity. Medium Sensitivity | A balanced starting point for many areas. Low Sensitivity | Fewer alerts, but small or fast movement may be missed. [/compare] [tip] Start with medium sensitivity. Increase it only when important activity is being missed. [/tip]Activity Zone
When the app provides a motion area or activity zone, mark only the places where activity matters, such as a doorway, gate, or hallway. Exclude moving trees, streets, reflective floors, and screens that can create repeated movement.
Alert Frequency
Some versions provide a cooldown or reduced-repeat setting. In active areas, a 30–60 second interval can help limit repeated alerts while preserving new activity.
Quiet Hours
Use a quiet schedule when you want the camera to keep recording activity but do not want frequent phone interruptions during sleep, meetings, or work hours.
App Quiet Schedule
[step] 1. Look for Do Not Disturb, Notification Schedule, Quiet Hours, or Alarm Schedule. 2. Enable the schedule and choose weekdays, weekends, or custom days. 3. Set the start and end time, such as 22:00–06:00. 4. Choose whether the schedule affects push alerts only or also in-app alert banners. 5. Keep event logging enabled during quiet hours when that option is available. [/step]A per-camera schedule is useful when one camera faces a busy area while other cameras should continue to notify normally.
Phone-Wide Do Not Disturb
Your phone's Do Not Disturb mode can provide a second quiet layer. Set a schedule and choose any allowed exceptions, such as calls, alarms, or starred contacts, based on your own needs.
Phone-wide Do Not Disturb may silence sound and vibration while visual notifications remain visible. Block visual interruptions as well when you want no banners during the schedule.
Alert Sound, Vibration, and Previews

Title: Pop-Up Behavior Text: Allow banners only for alerts that need immediate attention. Title: Lock Screen Preview Text: Show alert details when convenient, or hide sensitive content for more privacy. [/reference]Quick Notification Checks
Use these light checks when alerts do not arrive as expected or when they become too frequent.
[troubleshoot] Problem: No event appears in the app Cause: The selected detection trigger, sensitivity, zone, or schedule may not be active. Fix: Open the live view, create a visible movement in front of the camera, and review the event area. Adjust the detection setting before changing phone notifications. Problem: Events appear in the app but no phone alert arrives Cause: Phone notification permission, app push settings, background access, or data access may be restricted. Fix: Recheck the phone notification permission, required app permissions, Wansview Cloud push setting, background data access, and data saver restrictions. Choose an unrestricted or not optimized background option when available. Refresh the app account session if needed, update the app, and restart the phone. Problem: Alerts are too frequent Cause: Sensitivity may be too high, the activity zone may include busy areas, or repeated-alert control may be unavailable or disabled. Fix: Set a focused activity zone, lower sensitivity gradually, use a cooldown when available, add a quiet schedule, then disable non-essential notification channels or per-camera push only as a last step. Problem: Alerts behave differently on different connections Cause: Network restrictions or an active VPN can affect background delivery. Fix: Temporarily pause the VPN if one is active, then compare Wi-Fi and mobile data to identify whether the connection changes alert delivery. [/troubleshoot]Suggested Preference Sets
